The annual Graduate Conference in Communicative Disorders was held in Burke-Hawthorne Hall on April 22 - 23.  Graduating master's students presented their clinical action research projects to the faculty for judging in a poster competition held on Friday afternoon.  Presentation of their work to graduate and undergraduate students from the department took place on Saturday morning, followed by a keynote address by Dr. David Shapiro, the Robert Lee Madison Distinguished Professor at Western Caroline University. Taking top honors was Bobbi LeCoq of Ville Platte, LA.  Second place went to Janie Dufrene, Raceland, LA. Tied  for third place were Natalie Dronet and Abbie Preuitt, both of Lafayette. Special thanks goes to Dr. Judith Oxley, who guides the students through the research process and to the clinical supervisors who guide the students through the therapy process.
