Alumni & Donors
Countless future speech language pathologists and audiologists have begun their careers in our department since the inception of the program as a part of the Department of Speech in the late 1950s. From the first graduates who received bachelor’s degrees in Speech Correction in 1957 to the graduates of today, one thing has remained the same. Our graduates leave here with a quality education, a passion to change the lives of the individuals that they serve and a love for the Acadiana region and the University.
The Department of Communicative Disorders is extremely grateful for your work within our professional community to provide quality service and consultation for individuals with speech, language, hearing and swallowing difficulties. Many of you also provide opportunities for our students to receive practicum experience in your facilities. We value your service as mentors for the students. Our programs would not be able to train the professionals of tomorrow without your involvement. We would like to encourage you to stay connected with your alma mater to find out all the latest and greatest things happening here at UL Lafayette.
We hope it is as rewarding for you to be a graduate of such a distinguished program at UL Lafayette as it is for us to have you as an alumni and a forever Ragin' Cajun. You should be proud of your achievements and the goals you’ve reached during your time here with us and we welcome you back to visit at any time.
Stay connected with your alma mater and see the impact our alumni have made on the department.
